COURSES:
The courses are designed to investigate—through the lens of literature—Jewish life and Jewish history in writings from the late 19th century through the 20th and 21st centuries. We trace the development of literature written by Jewish women writers as well as Jewish writers more broadly, in Yiddish, Hebrew, and other languages. All classes and texts are discussed using English translations. Here you can find the course structures, syllabi, and reading materials for the current course. You will also find materials from past courses, including presentations, PDFs, and links.
